EPCM stands for Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management. Unlike traditional EPC (where the general contractor builds), NRG acts as the orchestrator in EPCM. We plan, procure and manage all trades, from detailed design and component procurement to construction supervision and commissioning. Physical execution is carried out by specialized partners from our network. The result for you: a turnkey system, one point of contact, full transparency.
From initial consultation to commissioning, we estimate 9 to 18 months for a standard BESS project. The biggest time factors are the building permit (varies by canton) and delivery times for battery modules. For projects with site optimization (PV + storage + e-mobility), the total duration may be somewhat longer as multiple trades need to be coordinated. NRG creates a detailed schedule with milestones at the start of each project.
